ENERGY ACT FOR UKRAINE FOUNDATION
Opening date: January 23, 2025
The occupation of Bobryk village began on March 8, 2022, and lasted until the end of the month. During this time, russian forces occupied the school, causing significant destruction, looting all equipment, and even stealing sports gear. Bobryk Gymnasium was 45% damaged, as was the nearby preschool facility across the road. However, after the village was liberated, all teachers returned to their school, and nearly all students who studied there before the full-scale invasion resumed their education at the same institution.
Now, power outages will no longer disrupt children's education, thanks to the support of partners. The Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation has installed a hybrid solar power station with energy storage systems at the school.
The solar power station supplies electricity to the entire school and its shelter, including the heating system, except for the food block.
