In order to promote renewable energy projects and develop mechanisms that would stimulate their implementation, the Chairman of the Committee Andriy Gerus and the President of the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation Yuliana Onishchuk signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
To achieve the goal, the parties agreed to hold working, coordination, information and training events, as well as to involve the Foundation's experts in the discussion of documents developed by the Committee on the relevant topics.
‘Every day, our Foundation strives to contribute more to ensuring the energy security of Ukraine's social sector and its sustainable development. This is possible when the voice of each stakeholder is heard, both local governments and the Parliament, which forms the legislative framework, in particular for the renewable energy sector. By signing a strategic memorandum with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities, we aim to combine our efforts ideas and strategic vision of how to help the energy sector of Ukraine effectively and as soon as possible,’ said Yuliana Onishchuk, founder and executive director of the Energy Act for Ukraine.
‘The projects implemented by the Foundation, including the construction of solar power plants at hospitals and schools, are part of distributed generation. The Foundation's experience in implementing renewable energy projects can be useful for communities, critical infrastructure enterprises, and other organisations. This is the energy of the future, and it is already helping us to survive the difficult conditions caused by hostile aggression,’ said Andriy Gerus.
