A consortium comprising public organizations (Ecoclub, Ecodia, Energy Act For Ukraine Foundation, RePower Ukraine) in collaboration with GIZ, on behalf of the German Government, is pleased to announce the selection of 16 communities for the implementation of renewable energy projects.
The chosen communities will have the opportunity to:
Develop technical and economic justifications, as well as project and estimate documentation for the implementation of renewable energy projects, with the involvement of experts.
Seek guidance from independent experts.
Receive support from public organizations during the project's execution.
Construct a renewable energy facility.
Who can apply? Local self-government bodies (excluding the temporarily occupied Donetsk, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia regions, and Crimean Autonomous Republic).
Application deadline: December 3, 2023.
Estimated project cost: 30-50 thousand euros.
Project duration: November 2023 - September 2024.
To participate in the competition, kindly complete the application form by December 3, 2023.
You can fill out the form by following the link: https://form.jotform.com/233061493480353
The selection process for communities will unfold in three stages:
Analysis of the short application, encompassing general information about the community, the building, and the person responsible for the project.
Submission of a detailed application, providing a comprehensive project description.
Participation in interviews with public organizations and GIZ.
Application selection criteria include:
A qualitative project description with specified details:
The technical solution proposed by the community.
Planned technical and economic indicators.
Potential obstacles.
How the project will benefit the community.
The readiness of the building for project implementation (good technical condition, no major repairs needed for networks; if the project involves the installation of an SPP on the roof, the roof should not need repairs).
Availability and experience of the representative responsible for the project.
Ability to initiate the project promptly.
Having technical documentation (TEO, PCD, etc.) will be advantageous.
Applications are only accepted from Local Government Units (LGUs) with a specified object where they intend to implement the project (e.g., schools, hospitals, kindergartens, homes for the elderly, heat supply, or water supply enterprises).
Contractors will be selected through a competitive process, with payment for services made according to market prices.
The selection of communities for renewable energy projects is part of the "Renewable energy for a sustainable Ukraine" project, implemented by a consortium of public organizations (Ecoclub, Ecodia, Energy Act For Ukraine Foundation, RePower Ukraine).
The project aims to:
Promote the development of decentralized renewable energy systems in Ukrainian communities.
Implement RES projects in 16 communities to showcase the effectiveness of these systems.
Communicate the economic and environmental benefits of these energy systems and encourage their scalability.
Enhance the capacity of local authorities to implement RES projects.
