Project with Stabilisation Platform

The Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation has installed hybrid solar power stations in two educational institutions in the Kyiv region - Liutizh Lyceum and Lyceum No. 1 of the Hostomel Settlement Council. This project was made possible through support from the Stabilization Platform, a program commissioned by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. This support is a crucial step in bolstering education and sustainable development in Ukrainian schools and is part of the German government’s efforts to rebuild and enhance resilience in Ukraine through initiatives such as the Stabilisation Platform and GIZ’s Renewables for Resilient Ukraine (R2U).

The hybrid solar power station supplies electricity to the entire school and its shelter, except for the food block. This ensures that the learning process continues uninterrupted, even in the event of centralized power outages.

"Seeing our schools become beacons of energy independence after all the hardships, destruction, and losses is an indescribable feeling. Every panel, every battery is not just technology—it is a shield and a hope for our children. Through these projects, we invest in the belief that our country will thrive again, and schools will be places of safety, learning, and dreams. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our partners who share this journey with us and help bring light where it is needed most. Together, we have already built 12 solar stations at critical and social infrastructure sites, with more than 10 additional stations set to be launched by the end of 2024."
