WHAT WE DO

The Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation is a Ukrainian charitable organization founded in 2022 in response to the energy crisis in Ukraine caused by Russia's full-scale war on Ukrainian territory. The Foundation focuses its efforts on equipping schools and hospitals with hybrid solar power plants as part of its initiatives, "100 Solar Schools" and "50 Solar Hospitals."

The Foundation’s mission is to promote Ukraine’s energy independence and foster a responsible and conscious approach among Ukrainians toward energy resource usage, with respect for the planet.

First Breaths in the Dark: How Newborn Ukrainians Are Saved in Odesa Amid Attacks and Blackouts

Despite the daily Russian attacks on Odesa, an average of five babies are born every day at the Odesa Regional Perinatal Centre. The centre cares for the most vulnerable newborns — premature babies and infants requiring intensive medical care. Doctors have learned to deliver babies during air raid alerts, work to the sound of explosions, transport their most vulnerable patients to shelters, and save their lives during blackouts.
